In addition to theory and methodology, the analysis of structures, mechanisms, and dynamics of social inequality forms a third pillar of sociological education.
Depending on the constellation of chosen disciplines and scope of ECTS credits, students may further specialize as part of a minor in Sociology.
Students benefit from the diversity of sociological perspectives and approaches represented at the Department of Sociology, which is likely unique in the German university landscape.
Our Bachelor degree program in Sociology is accredited by the quality assurance institute ACQUIN.
